BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Lexington man was killed at Logan Airport by a coach bus on Wednesday evening, according to Massachusetts State Police. Vishwachand Kolla, 47, was at the airport's Terminal B to pick up a friend.

Police say he got out of his SUV at the arrivals level and was hit and dragged by a Dartmouth Transportation coach at about 5:00 p.m. An off-duty nurse standing nearby tried to save the man along with first responders, but he was declared dead at the scene.

State Police interviewed the driver of the bus at the scene, a 54-year-old woman. They haven't said if she will be charged.

Dartmouth Transportation is a bus company based in Concord, New Hampshire. In a statement to WBZ NewsRadio, the company offered its "deepest sympathies" to everyone impacted by the incident and said it is working with State Police and Massport to "gather further information" about the incident.
