NEWBURYPORT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Self-proclaimed "light witch," "mystic," "tarot consultant," and "part-mermaid" Leeza Masia is taking the tarot cards into her own hands to teach teenagers across the Commonwealth all about the mystic arts.

WBZ's Matt Shearer tagged along with Masia as she explained how the supernatural tarot cards work to others lending an ear.

"I'm working with a lot of libraries, I'm now being invited by even the government into a government building to share these mystical ideas instead of a thousand years ago I might have burned at the stake, so. I was raised Catholic, too— I mean, I still love Jesus, I speak with angels," Masia said.

Masia holds "Tarot Talks" at public libraries to lead conversations about tarot along with a group meditation and interactive reading session.

"There's a whole new spectrum of beings that have been journeying to the Earth, and they're much more open and curious just to understand all these hidden realms of unseen energies," Masia said.

Letting the cards dictate what menu item Matt would order at a nearby Wendy's, the forces decided he should try a fountain drink with a little bit of everything, to which he happily obliged. For the record, the tarot cards declared that Matt had "big sword energy."
