The late, legendary WBZ Radio talk show host David Brudnoy took to the air just after seven o’clock on the night of September 11, 2001. As usual, David opened the show with his keen insight and perspective. But this night was different, and you can hear it in the veteran broadcaster’s voice.
During the show, David called on a few of his frequent guests to give their viewpoint on this astonishing attack. Some experts included Colonel David Hackworth, a highly decorated Colonel and Dr. Laurie Mylroie, an expert on the Middle East.
Mostly that night, David reached out to the listeners. They needed to talk to and hear a comforting, knowledgeable voice, in order to make sense of the events that they saw unfold earlier that day.
