HARRINGTON, Maine (WBZ NewsRadio) — Lobstermen in Maine rescued a deer from the water five miles off the coast Monday.
Lobsterman Ren Dorr posted the rescue to Facebook, saying that the deer was "drifting farther away from land" when they spotted the animal.
"Couldn't let the poor guy suffer and drown so we brought him aboard and sailed him half hour to land and dropped him off on the beach," Dorr wrote in the post.
It's not clear how the deer had gotten so far off shore.
