BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — An act of solidarity today started on the Boston Common as actors from Massachusetts and across New England rallied and then marched in support of striking TV and movie writers and actors in Hollywood.
On July 14th the American actors' union SAG–AFTRA went on strike over an ongoing labor dispute with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
That strike coincided with a Writers Guild of America strike as part of broader Hollywood labor disputes.
The impact of the dual strikes is being felt from coast to coast.
