BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Laurel Greenfield moved from NY State to Boston for school, specifically a graduate level culinary school at Boston University. Greenfield always had a love for food and gastronomy, so much so that it became more than just an obsession for her in the kitchen, but also in the art studio. It all started when she painted pictures of food in her dorm room during college, and word had spread of her culinary and artistic talents.
“I started getting requests for painting people’s favorite foods as gifts,” said Greenfield.
Now, these passions of hers have become a successful business model for her, so much so that she has her own brick and mortar location at the Boston Public Market because people have an appetite for her food.
“It’s really fun to see the emotions that it brings up for people because food is so meaningful it’s such a symbol for people of different times, places and people in their lives so that’s my favorite response that I get from people,” added Greenfield.
