Local Massachusetts Colleges To Require COVID Booster Shots

WALTHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Bentley University in Waltham, Mass. is the latest institution of higher learning in Massachusetts to announce a requirement for a COVID-19 booster for the upcoming spring semester.

This comes just days after University of Massachusetts Amherst announced that faculty, staff, and students will need one. Anyone with an exemption at UMass Amherst will be required to get tested twice a week.

Boston College and Emerson College also have similar booster mandates. Meanwhile, Boston University, Harvard University, and Northeastern University are currently recommending booster shots, but are not mandating them.

Elsewhere in the country, Notre Dame University and Syracuse University have both announced a booster mandate.
