BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The second annual Holiday Gift-Wrapping competition was underway at Logan Airport, and competitors weren’t messing around.
Many big names were set up at terminals B and E to partake in the event, such as former Patriots champion Joe Andruzzi, reality TV star Juliana Pasquarosa, Patriots Cheerleaders, Pat the Patriot, and even Santa Claus himself.
It was a challenge to see who could wrap the fastest, with those gifts later being donated to Boston Children’s Hospital and the Joe Andruzzi Foundation.
“We collect funds to pay it forward for cancer patients and families battling in New England,” said Andruzzi.
Logan Marketplace set the event up, hoping to ease the stress of shoppers during the holiday season by offering the wrapping service. Massport CEO Rich Davey was also there to break down the event for newcomers.
“The good news is, I won't be wrapping gifts, but we will have free wrapping for our customers on the 19th, 22nd, and 23rd here at Logan Airport. So up to five gifts, we will wrap for free for you, in terminals, again, B and E,” said Davey.
While the wrapping competition finished on Thursday, gift wrapping for Logan travelers will still be available on the 19th, 22nd, and 23rd at Terminals B and E.
