BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It was a three-way battle of the mascots at Boston Logan International Airport Wednesday.
Wally the Green Monster, Pat the Patriot, and Lucky the Leprechaun competed in a gift wrapping contest inside Terminal E and made a festive mess of things.
In the end, Wally used teamwork and a little bit of sabotage to score the victory.

The wrapping paper battle royal was part of a big announcement from the airport: starting Thursday, Dec. 19 through Tuesday, Dec. 24, Logan will offer passengers complimentary gift wrap service in terminals C and E after they pass through security.
The airport has not offered free gift wrapping in more than eight years, but that absence is coming to an end this holiday season.

"When passengers come through, if you have some last minute gifts that you threw into your carry-on, it’s not supposed to be wrapped through TSA, so we’re happy to wrap it for you," Logan Marketing and Customer Service Manager Binni Patel told WBZ NewsRadio.
Referring to the mascots and their clumsy, furry fingers, Massport CEO Rich Davey said, "If you bring unwrapped gifts through TSA, you will be thankful that I won't be wrapping and these guys won't be, there'll be professional wrappers."
