LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two people were killed in a serious crash involving a postal truck near the Connecticut state line.
The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Longmeadow and South Streets.
Two people were taken to a nearby hospital with "potentially fatal injuries," Massachusetts State Police said.
Enfield, Connecticut Police Chief Alaric Fox told iHeartmedia Springfield that two people were killed.
The US Postal Service identified the letter carrier killed as Dan Nacin, and said he had worked for the Enfield Post Office for 40 years.
The other person killed has not yet been identified.
Massachusetts State Police said crime scene and crash reconstruction crews were at the scene.
