WRENTHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Wrentham man was able to use his whistling prowess to reunite an exotic bird named Thor with his owners last week.
Wrentham & Plainville Animal Control said in a Facebook post they had received several reports of the bird on Wednesday, May 29. After Animal Control posted a photo of Thor online, someone recognized him from a missing bird post from Milford a few days earlier.

One of Thor's owners got in touch with Animal Control and told them Thor will fly to someone if they whistle the 1958 song "Tequila" by The Champs. However, there was a catch.
"It has to be a man because, well, Thor, apparently doesn’t like women very much," Wrentham police said on Facebook.
Police said a Wrentham homeowner on L'Herault Drive also spotted Thor that day and called Animal Control. Once instructed what to do, the homeowner whistled "Tequila" and Thor came inside the home and perched right on the man's head.
Thor nested on top of the head until his owners came to pick him up and bring him home.
"Thor is now resting comfortably at home and is quite tired from his almost 3 day adventure," Animal Control said. "I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who is involved and made this reunion possible!"
