Lowell Police Discover Dead Woman, Investigating As Homicide

LOWELL, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Lowell Police responded to a residence on Llewelyn Street to conduct a well-being check when they found the victim, a woman in her twenties, dead with signs of apparent trauma. EMS arrived shortly after and pronounced her dead at the scene.

The person who requested police be dispatched for a well-being check knew the victim, said Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Superintendent Kelly Richardson in a joint statement.

An investigation is underway, the press release said, and is being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to that office and Lowell Police.

No arrests have been made at the time of posting.
