BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Sunday, the state Department of Public Health reported a record-low rate of positive coronavirus tests in Massachusetts.
According to the Massachusetts DPH, there were nearly 13,000 coronavirus tests conducted since Saturday across the state, and 92 percent of those tests came back negative for the virus.
With the additional 1,077 cases confirmed, the state's total COVID-19 case count now stands at more than 86,000.
The DPH also reported another 92 deaths attributed to the virus on Sunday. That brings the coronavirus-related death toll in Massachusetts to nearly 5,800 in just under two months.
