REVERE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Lyft driver in Revere was allegedly assaulted by a rider on Saturday. The driver told MBTA Transit Police that he was called for a single-person ride at Wonderland Station at about 1:30 AM.
The driver said when he showed up to the station, two riders — a man and a woman — got into his car. He tried to explain that the ride was only ordered for a single person. The man became angry, and then allegedly punched the driver in the face, and again in the head. The driver said the man then fled the scene.
Police found the man and woman in a parking garage close by. The man admitted to police that he punched the driver, and police said he'll be summonsed to court on Assault and Battery charges.
