LYNN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Flowers have always been a staple of holidays, like Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day, but a florist in Lynn said they’re becoming increasingly popular on Halloween.
On the shelves of Flowers by Lorraine are bouquets of Halloween-themed flowers. Some of the flowers are presented in a pumpkin vase, while others have “spooky season” imagery, like the black silhouette of a haunted house.
Owner Robin Keighley attributed the uptick in demand for Halloween bouquets to the increasing amount of tourists coming to Salem, Mass. Even though they are not located in the “witch city,” business is “brooming.”
“I think because Salem is just so much more busier than it’s been from years ago,” said Keighley. “So, there’s an overflow in the North Shore area for Halloween to celebrate it.”
Flowers by Lorraine also created bouquets with fall-themed colors to add to their collection.
