LYNN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Leo is a Lynn-based community organization that is making free tax preparation services available for some low-income residents.
With COVID-19 impacting so many lives last year, Leo's Director of Communications Lisa McFadden said they are expecting to see an increase in the number of applications for the free prep service this year.
"There are so many families who are in the situation, for the first time ever, where they're having to reach out for assistance," McFadden said.
Households that made less than $56,000 last year are eligible to apply for free tax preparation, McFadden said.
If you're in need of help and want to see if you meet the household qualifications for the free tax services, go to www.leoinc.org
