Lynn Police Chase Ends In Crash, Arrests

LYNN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Wednesday night police chase in Lynn ended in a crash and two arrests.

According to WBZ-TV, the incident began when Lynn officers attempted to pull over the suspect's vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver then allegedly backed into the police cruiser and sped away.

The suspect proceeded to drive through the intersection of Essex and Chatham Street, crashing into another car. The person driving the struck vehicle was taken to the hospital for serious injuries.

A suspect in the passenger seat exited the offending vehicle, fleeing on foot before getting captured by Lynn Police. Police say he was armed when they caught him, while a firearm was found in the suspect's car.

The two suspects were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Their identities have not yet been released.

No officers were injured during the chase.
