Made In MA: President's Gift For Putin From Randolph

RANDOLPH, Mass.(WBZ NewsRadio) — It may have been a tense, and short, meeting between the President Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin — but a representative from the Bay State was there all the same.

A pair of aviator sunglasses was one of the gifts that the President gave Putin, and they were made right here in Massachusetts. Randolph USA's HGU-4/P aviators were designed for fighter pilots in the U.S. military and NATO in 1978, during the Cold War. They were produced at the company's Randolph factory.

According to the company, the specific glasses that Putin received had President Biden's signature inside the right lens.

Biden also gave Putin another gift — a crystal sculpture of a bison, made in New York.
