BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Harry Potter fans rejoice: after more than a year away from the city, Major League Quidditch is coming back to Boston.

According to Harry Greenhouse, a star Chaser and Seeker for the Boston Forge, the sport is essentially a combination of basketball, rugby, and dodge ball.

"[It has] the physical contact of rugby and the strategy is very basketball-oriented," Greenhouse said. "In the books and the movies the snitch is a flying little ball that disappears, [but] the way we do it is the snitch is a ball that's attached to the shorts of a wrestler, and you have to wrestle through that guy and catch the snitch."

The team is currently in it's sixth year -- and has won three out of the five titles -- and qualified for one other finals game.

"I think were capable of winning a title, so I'm going to go hard at this," he said.

This year's MLQ campaign will kick off for the team on Saturday at Joe Moakley Park in South Boston.

"This one's just exciting, just because having your first games of the year be your home games is fun," Greenhouse said.

The Boston Forge will be facing off against Rochester Whiteout from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. If you are interested in getting a ticket to the game, you can purchase one online.
