MALDEN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Halloween may only come once a year, but for the Barretto family, it’s an everyday event.

Anthony and his daughter Angelica run Sick Props, designing lifelike props that can scare even the toughest of horror fans. Anthony has been making horror props for years.

“We started building props in a friend of mine's basement, my friend Al Marshall, who was tragically killed in a car accident. After Al was gone, we decided to keep it going,” said Anthony.

Halloween is their busiest season, but they design props year-round and recently started offering rentals for any venue looking to get spooky. They’ve made everything from a lifelike Jason to a go-kart casket.

“I get so into it, it’s like if I build a Jason, it has to look like Jason from the movie,” said Anthony.

“They see these things that are usually in movies with effects and things like that and we just bring it so to life. It’s like it’s pulled right out of the movie,” said Angelica.
