WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A man was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing a woman at a Worcester massage parlor on Thanksgiving.

Worcester Police were called to Angie's Bodywork Spa on Pleasant Street just after 11:30 a.m. Thursday for a report of a woman experiencing a possible medical issue.

When officers arrived, a man flagged them down and directed them to an unconscious woman. First responders attempted to save the woman, but she died at the scene. Police said Thursday that the woman's death was suspicious.

On Friday, police arrested Marcel Santos-Padgett, 31, of Leicester, on an outstanding warrant for armed assault to murder. Santos-Padgett was taken into custody at Columbia Park in Haverhill, officials said.

Court documents said Santos-Padgett allegedly pulled a gun on the woman inside the massage parlor and shot her in the head.

Investigators said they have surveillance video linking Santos-Padgett to the crime.

The victim has not yet been identified.
