Man Dies After Getting Caught In Doors Of Departing Red Line Train

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A man was killed at the Broadway Red Line station early Sunday morning.

Transit Police Identified the victim as Robinson Lalin, a 39-year-old man from Boston.

Lalin got stuck in the doors of a departing train and was dragged for a short distance, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office. He sustained fatal injuries during the incident and was declared dead at the scene.

The incident happened shortly after 12:30 a.m. No foul play is suspected.

MBTA Transit Police are investigating the incident. The driver of the train has been put on leave and the NTSB is opening an investigation into the incident, according to WBZ TV.
