NASHUA, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A man was killed in an officer-involving shooting at a home in Nashua, New Hampshire late Saturday night, officials said.
Attorney General John M. Formella said Nashua police responded to a domestic disturbance call at 49 Marie Avenue around 11:47 p.m.
Officers arrived and found the subject of the call outside the home, armed with a handgun, Formella said.
During the armed confrontation, one Nashua police officer fired a non-lethal projectile, and three other officers fired bullets at the man, authorities said. The man went inside the home, where he was later found unresponsive by police and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Officials said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
No police officers were injured, all involved parties have been identified, and there is no threat to public safety, authorities said.
The deceased man's identity will be disclosed after an autopsy is performed and next of kin are notified, Formella said.
An investigation is ongoing.
