MANCHESTER, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police have arrested a man they say may have been recording women in dressing rooms and bathrooms around Manchester, New Hampshire over the last few weeks.
Travis Demers, 21, faces two counts of violation of privacy after a string of alleged recording incidents.
The first hon Saturday, July 27, at the Mall of New Hampshire on South Willow Street. Police were called after reports of a man inside a women's restroom who may have been recording women in the stalls.
Surveillance video showed a man going into the bathroom and not coming out for an hour. Police were able to identify that man as Demers.
The following Friday, August 2, officers were called to a Savers on South Maple Street for a report of a man photographing women in a dressing room. Police said Demers was caught on surveillance video there, too.
After the Savers incident, the department issued a warrant for Demers' arrest.
Then, on Friday, August 9, police were called back to the Mall of New Hampshire after a woman reported a man in the women's restroom.
Police arrested Demers in one of the stalls in that bathroom.
Now, the department is asking anyone who used the women's bathroom at the Mall of New Hampshire from 1-2:30 p.m. on July 27 or before 5:30 p.m. on Friday, August 9, and who is worried they may have been recorded, to contact Detective Ryan Heile at 603-792-5534 or via email at rheile@manchesternh.gov.
