Manchester Shooting Leads To Lockdown At Nearby High School

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Police say a high school in Manchester, New Hampshire, was placed on lockdown after a shooting was reported on a nearby street.

Police said the shooting happened about 11 a.m. Wednesday. A man was shot and taken to a hospital.

WMUR-TV reports school officials said the shooting did not involve any schools and there were no reports of threats directed as students, staff or campuses.

School officials said Manchester's West High School was placed on lockdown. Other nearby schools, Parkside, Gossler Park and Northwest, and the district office were placed in a secure campus mode.
