March For Babies Held In Boston On Saturday

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The March of Dimes’ March for Babies was held on Saturday in Boston along the Charles River. The event was a fundraiser meant to help promote the health of babies.

The Baab-Bernard family were the ambassador family for the event. The March of Dimes has had a proud impact on Molly Baab’s life.

“Our son was still born at 35 weeks. And it was such a shock and a pain that we didn’t know what to do with that. This has been a part of our healing process,” Baab said.

Baab was emotional when she discussed the support she received from a March of Dimes doctor.

“The first thing she did is she looked me in the eye and she said, ‘This is not your fault.’ And that is so meaningful as a mother who has lost,” Baab said.

Baab and her husband welcomed a baby girl, Anna, about three years after the loss of their son.

“Anna’s got her face painted bright purple right now. She’s 8 years old. She’s in second grade. She loves Harry Potter. She will talk your ear off,” Baab said.
