NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A substitute teacher who smoked marijuana in front of students at North Attleboro High School has been said to have brain cancer according to his family, the Sun Chronicle reports.

Jason Arundale smoked marijuana out of a vape in front of a classroom. Students reported the incident to the school's administration and Arundale ultimately admitted the events to the police.

According to the Sun Chronicle, the relative who said Arundale has brain cancer believes "his medical condition may have impaired his judgment."

North Attleboro High School told parents about the incident and Arundale was admitted to a rehab facility earlier this week.
