BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — To work from home or not to work from home is the question a new poll is asking people in the workforce.
The COVID pandemic introduced a new way of life for workers in the United States. Forbes projected that more than 32 million Americans would work remotely in 2025. But what if you could make twice as much if you went to the office? That's the basis of a new poll from Business Insider that asks which is more important to the workforce, the environment you know and are comfortable with, or twice the cash to work in the office.
"I'd rather be on my own and keep to myself and be able to do my job correctly," one Mass. resident explained.
Data from the poll showed more people were interested in the flexibility that remote work provides than the money.

"Being in my own setting and not having to deal with crappy people," another resident said.
Not everyone agrees with that notion.
"I don't make that much. I also enjoy the routine of being out of the house," one person stated.
As families factor in inflation and the general cost of living, some parents say the money is necessary to take care of their children.
"Make that sweet cash. I have five kids, so I need that money," one woman said.
