BRAINTREE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The RMV rolled out new drop-off service program on Monday which could help customers stay safe during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Braintree Branch is now open to drop-off service for registrations, titles, and license plates. It will be available on a first come, first served basis. All customers are expected to have the appropriate paperwork upon arrival.

The program, according to Registrar Jamey Tesler, will help the agency deal with a backlog of business, brought on by an appointment-only system necessitated by the coronavirus pandemic.
“We’re trying to continue to innovate to both give people choices that work for them, get their transactions done quickly, and get them done safely,” Tesler said.
Tesler adds that drop-off service which should be completed within four days will be available at other registry branches come next week.
Traditional appointments can also still be made.
