BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The online learning era hasn't put the brakes on driver's ed, and now the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles is offering a quick refresher on the rules of the road.
The RMV is now making it easier for anyone to learn or re-learn the rules of the road.
Math, English and even gym classes are being taught online and now you can add driver's ed to that list, too. However, the course isn't just for teens.
"We also have a parent and guardian information section, for parents and guardians that are supporting new drivers," said acting Registrar of Motor Vehicles Coleen Ogilvie.
She adds the new online portal will help students hit the books before they hit the road.

The course doesn't count towards their required classroom hours, but it's a good resource for anyone who wants to brush up.
"Now during the pandemic, it's a great time for people to remind themselves about the rules of the road that they may not have remembered," said Ogilvie.
The online portal offers multiple features including learning videos, a practice version of the written exam and a driver's manual you can download.
The portal also lists locations for where people can go to get their learner's permit.
