Mass. State Treasurer Deb Goldberg Tests Positive For COVID-19

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts State Treasurer Deborah Goldberg has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a spokesperson for her office, Goldberg recently learned of her potential exposure to the virus and went to get tested.

"She is monitoring her symptoms, following the guidelines established by the CDC, and is quarantining at home," her office said.

According to the state website, Goldberg's offices have been temporarily closed due to COVID-19 since March 17th 2020, and all meetings have been held virtually.

"The Treasurer’s office will continue to function normally, and the Treasurer plans to participate remotely," a spokesperson said. "The Treasurer encourages everyone to continue to follow the advice of medical professionals, wear a mask, and maintain social distance."
