WESTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Massachusetts State Police trooper was seriously hurt Tuesday night, when a tractor-trailer hit his cruiser.
According to police, at about 11:44 p.m. the trooper was struck while in his cruiser on a detail protecting a road construction crew on Route 95 southbound in Weston. The Trooper's cruiser was parked at the time of the crash.

He was seriously hurt but was alert and radioed the crash in himself and was transported to a Boston hospital.
As a result of the crash, the tractor-trailer jack-knifed on the highway which caused 95 southbound to completely shut down early Wednesday morning.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Mass. State Police. No further information about the crash has been released at this time.
