Mass. State Troopers Push Up Vehicle To Free Crash Victim In Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Monday morning, Massachusetts State Troopers could be seen propping up a crashed vehicle on I-91 northbound in Springfield to free a Westfield woman trapped inside.

Officials say an investigation is open into the crash, but preliminary findings suggest the victim was rear ended while sitting in traffic near Exit 8. Crews worked to stabilize her vehicle in order to safely get her out.

According to the MSP, the 29-year-old Westfield woman was taken to Baystate Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
