Mass Vaccination Sites Will Be Teachers-Only On Four Days In Next Month

WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The state's mass vaccination sites will restrict first doses to only teachers and school staff on four dates between late March and mid-April, Governor Charlie Baker said today.

The dates are March 27, April 3, April 10, and April 11. K-12 Teachers, childcare workers, and other K-12 school staff all qualify for the dates. The workers in this group will need to use the state's preregistration system, which goes live on Friday.

Only the state's seven mass-vaccination sites will be required to participate in the "teachers only" days.

All other sites in the state are encouraged, but not required to give out first doses to educators on those days. Non-mass vaccination sites can set up alternate days to vaccinate teachers, if they want, but will need to notify the state by next Tuesday, March 16 if they plan to do so.
