Mass. Will Roll Back COVID Restrictions To Phase 3, Step 1

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Baker Administration announced Tuesday that all of Massachusetts will be moving back to Phase 3, Step 1 of the state’s reopening plan.

The statewide rollback will go into effect on December 13.

Indoor gatherings will be limited to 10 people in private settings, and 25 people in public venues. Indoor theaters, some indoor recreational activities like laser tag and roller skating, and food courts in malls across the state will be required to close.

Places like movie theaters, houses of worship and gyms will need to scale back to 40% capacity, from the 50% they have now.

Restaurants will be required to give their patrons a 90-minute time limit at tables, who will have to wear masks at all times when not eating or drinking.
