BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Bail Fund has released a level three sex offender, who is now at home in Melrose.
Tyler Jacquard has been involved with the legal system almost two dozen times. He had been held on a 30 thousand dollar bail for the latest allegation against him.
He's out now, because the Massachusetts Bail Fund, which is funded by donations whose website reads 'free them all' paid to release him.
Some people aren't happy, including Melrose's Police Chief Michael L. Lyle.
"I imagine a lot of folks are nervous that this individual is out of jail right now," Lyle said.
Chief Lyle said he does not understand why the fund would release Jaquard and would like to know why they
"With his history, I would think anyone should be concerned," Lyle said.
