BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — More snow is headed for Massachusetts Thursday and Saturday.
In Boston, a mixture of snow and freezing rain will become solid snow between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. Boston is expected to get between one and three inches.
South of Boston, Norwood can expect the snow to start before 4 a.m. before giving way to freezing rain. Norwood is expected to get one to three inches of snow.
North of Boston, snow will hit Gloucester before 5 a.m. and accumulate up to three inches.
West of Boston, Fitchburg can expect up to four inches of snow starting before 4 a.m.
More snowfall is expected on Saturday.
Boston could see some snow after 2 p.m. before heavier precipitation overnight, according to the National Weather Service. The snow could continue to fall on Sunday.
Norwood is expected to see rain with pockets of snow from Saturday afternoon through Sunday.
In Gloucester, snow could any time after 2 p.m. Rain and threats of snow are expected to persist through Sunday
Fitchburg is likely to see snow after 5 p.m. The snow could become heavy at times throughout the night before mixing with rain on Sunday.
