BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — With an additional 158 deaths attributed to coronavirus reported on Sunday, the state's death toll now stands at 4,004. Nearly 60 percent of the total deaths were reported in long-term care facilities.
On April 12th, the state's death toll stood at 756. That means more than 80 percent of the confirmed COVID-related deaths in Massachusetts have been reported within the past three weeks.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has also reported another 1,824 confirmed cases of the virus, bringing Massachusetts' total confirmed cases to 68,087.
Sunday's report also said 15,652 coronavirus tests were conducted since yesterday, which is the largest number of tests conducted in Massachusetts in a single day so far.
