BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has reported another 212 confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the state't total number of confirmed cases to 113,729.
The state DPH also reported 14 additional deaths attributed to the virus, upping the state's confirmed COVID-related death toll to 8,582.
The Commonwealth's seven-day weighted average rate of positive tests hit its lowest rate yet on Friday, at 1.4 percent.
More than 1.4 million individuals in the state have had molecular COVID-19 tests, and more than 100,000 residents have been tested for coronavirus antibodies.
According to Johns Hopkins University's Coronavirus Resource Center, the U.S. has confirmed nearly 5.3 million cases of COVID-19 and more than 167,000 Americans have died of the virus in around five months.
