BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Department of Health has confirmed another 744 cases of COVID-19, and 14 additional deaths have been reported among confirmed cases in the Commonwealth.
The state DPH has confirmed 140,647 cases of COVID-19 in Massachusetts to date, and 9,517 deaths among confirmed cases. There have also been 220 deaths among probable cases of the virus.
More than 2.5 million individuals in Massachusetts have been tested for the virus by molecular tests, and nearly 125,000 people have been tested for antibodies.
According to the Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center, the U.S. has surpassed eight million confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, and close to 220,000 Americans have died of the virus to date.
