Massachusetts Passes 120,000 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported another 219 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Friday, bringing the state's total number of confirmed cases to 120,038.

The state DPH also reported another 22 deaths among confirmed cases of coronavirus. There have been 8,892 total deaths among confirmed cases, and 208 deaths among probable cases in Massachusetts since mid-march.

There are currently 333 patients with COVID-19 in hospitals across the state, 33 of whom are in intensive care and 26 of whom are intubated.

As the Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports, there have been more than six million confirmed cases of COVID-19 and more than 186,000 deaths in the U.S. in about six months.
