Massachusetts Surpasses 125,000 Confirmed Cases Of COVID-19

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported another 569 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, upping state's total number of confirmed cases to 125,139.

With 26 additional deaths reported among confirmed cases of COVID-19, a total of 9,085 people in Massachusetts have died of the virus since mid-March. There have also been 210 deaths among probable cases of coronavirus.

Around two-thirds of the state's COVID-19-related deaths have been reported at long-term care facilities.

More than two million individuals have been tested for COVID-19 in the Commonwealth, and more than 117,000 residents have undergone an antibody test.

According to the Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Research Center, there are more than 6.7 million confirmed cases of coronavirus in the U.S., and approximately 200,000 Americans have died of COVID-19 in around six months.
