QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Filming for the Matt Damon and Casey Affleck movie "The Instigators" moved to Quincy's Wollaston Beach Thursday.

Production has taken place in and around the Boston area for several weeks, with shooting in Quincy previously happening at Malachy's Saloon on Granite Street back in March.

Quincy residents couldn't help but take pictures of the Hollywood stars as they filmed along Quincy Shore Drive.

"It’s fabulous, it’s so nice," one woman said. "The last time they were here, I didn’t catch a lot of pictures, but this time I did."

"It’s a lot of fun, especially since they’re local guys," said another resident.

Crews unloaded snow from freezer trucks in order to film a winter scene, which proved tricky given Thursday's warm temperatures.

"It was funny watching them shovel the snow out today, it’s melting a little faster than it was last time," a resident told WBZ NewsRadio.

"The Instigators" "The Instigators" follows two thieves who go on the run with the help of one of their therapists after a robbery goes awry, according to Deadline. In addition to Damon and Affleck, the cast list also includes Hong Chau ("The Whale"), Paul Walter Hauser ("Blackbird"), Michael Stuhlbarg ("Boardwalk Empire"), Ving Rhames ("Mission: Impossible"), Alfred Molina ("Spider-Man 2"), and Ron Perlman ("Hellboy").

The film is being directed by Doug Liman ("The Bourne Identity") and will be released on Apple TV+.
