BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Bostonians will notice that colors are flowing down the brick paved street that connects Downtown Crossing and the common.

"Color Flows on Winter Street," is a multi-week program launched by the city as an effort to reinvigorate business around the area. According to the city, the pilot program will test new approaches to reimagine the usage of the streets and pedestrian zones for art programming, lighting, games, food and live performances. The city also aims to build hubs of community, culture and economic investment

The long term investment is a part of the City of Boston's Design Vision, led by the Planning Department. The current installation features art by Boston-based Dominican artist, muralist, and designer, Massiel Grullón and food from Jim Curley in partnership with the Downtown Boston Alliance and Groundswell Design Group.
