Mayor Walsh To Participate In Moment Of Silence In Honor Of George Floyd

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Mayor Marty Walsh spoke Thursday on the protests following George Floyd's death.

"It's time for all of us to listen," Walsh said.

Walsh said he will participate in the NAACP's moment of silence today at 3:45 p.m. It will go on for eight minutes and 46 seconds, the amount of time George Floyd's neck was under the knee of Derek Chauvin.

The George Floyd's memorial service will begin in Minneapolis Thursday at 2 p.m. EST.
