BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — There is a rift between Boston Mayor Michell Wu's administration and the Boston Landmarks Commission (BLC).

The commission's executive director Rosanne Foley, who was appointed by former mayor Marty Walsh, was fired last week 12 days after a letter was sent to the mayor's office signed by all 16 commission members taking issue with how the city is overseeing historic preservation projects.

Several examples were provided in the letter including the renovation proposal of White Stadium in Franklin Park for part-time use by a professional soccer team.

The all-volunteer commission board is appointed by the mayor.

WBZ NewsRadio has reached out to both the mayor's office and the BLC for comment.

WBZ NewsRadio's James Rojas (@JamesRojasMMJ) reports.
