BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Mayor Michelle Wu is bringing back the annual neighborhood coffee hour series in parks across the city starting on April 22.

The program, advertised as Mayor Wu’s Neighborhood Coffee Hours have been a major success in the past, as these events have provided Bostonians with a unique opportunity to talk with the mayor directly about their neighborhoods and any concerns they may have in a relaxed setting.

“Every neighborhood and every resident has their own diverse set of concerns that deserve to not only be heard, but to be acknowledged and addressed,” said Mayor Wu. “I am excited for all of the conversations and connection that will come from Neighborhood Coffee Hours,” she added.

In addition to the mayor’s presence, leadership and staff from the mayor’s Community Engagement Cabinet will be present at each Coffee Hour to connect with residents.

“Coffee Hours with the Mayor is an intentional effort to meet community members in the heart of their neighborhoods,” said Brianna Millor, Chief of the Community Engagement Cabinet. “I encourage residents, including our youth, seniors, civic organizations, business owners, and local leaders to attend this neighborhood centered event. Boston 311 will be present to connect residents to essential city services,” she added.

These programs will be held weekly starting April 22 and will run through June 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., weather permitting. The full schedule for the series can be found by visiting the mayor’s website.
