BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — MBTA recently announced upcoming service changes for the Orange Line.
Starting Dec. 5, there will be no service between Forest Hills and Back Bay. Shuttle buses will replace service from Friday, Dec. 5 to Saturday, Dec. 6 for signal upgrades. Regular service will continue on Sunday, Dec. 7. For fare free services, commuters can use the Franklin/Foxboro, Needham or Providence/Stoughton lines for service between Forest Hills, Ruggles, Back Bay and South Station. Fares will be applied for travel beyond Forest Hills.
Riders are encouraged to allow additional time for travel during the service changes. Shuttle bus stops include:
