WATCH: MBTA Bus Blows Through Red Light In JP

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Boston resident filmed an MBTA bus speeding through a red light near Forest Hills Station in Jamaica Plain Thursday.

"Terribly saddened this morning to read of another pedestrian fatality on Boston streets near ramp to Tobin," Twitter user Kyle Vining wrote. "Just yesterday, I filmed a bus speeding through an intersection at Ukraine Way near Forest HIlls."

MBTA spokesperson Joe Pesaturo said in a statement to WBZ NewsRadio that the matter is under investigation.

"MBTA managers have identified the bus operator in the video and this matter is being thoroughly investigated," Pesaturo said. "All MBTA bus operators are trained to be fully prepared with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate a bus at all times. If anyone observes activity that is contrary to safe driving standards, the MBTA encourages the public to report it, and allow managers in the T’s bus division to investigate it."
