MBTA: Green Line D-Train Derailed Near Kenmore Station

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Officials said a Green Line D-Train derailed near the Kenmore Station on Saturday.

The train, headed to Riverside, went off the tracks near a split in the tunnel. According to Boston EMS Deputy Steven McHugh, several people were injured during the incident. Nine individuals were taken to the hospital. According to the Associated Press, a 10th person was injured, but did not accept treatment.

Delays on the Green Line were reported due to the derailment. Shuttle buses were scheduled to replace some service on the Green Line, according to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA). Service on the Green Line has since been restored.
